The Stone rune word has a much better reputation on that front and it's made for players who don't want to worry much about heavy hits. Of course, if you're looking to make your character truly tanky, relying on a Rhyme shield is a bit ill-advised. It grants a massive 160 percent increase to weapon damage, though it's limited to melee weapons only. An easy rune word to complete, Honor is a lovely alternative for players who are struggling to find their B.I.S. This one's viable for both the main-hand and the off-hand weapon. Looking for a flexible rune word? Then Spirit might fill in that role. It's one of the quirkiest rune words around because of some hidden additive damage. For some reason, Grief adds more benefits than what it shows on-screen. Grief might be a little too straightforward or limited in its application, which is why Heart of the Oak or HOTO trumps it.
Another one of those all-around body armor buffs, Chains of Honor makes players tanky enough without sacrificing slots that could have been used for offensive bonuses. For a body armor rune word where you can't go wrong, Chains of Honor is likely the second most-prized. For many players, making it a goal to obtain Enigma is unrealistic. Last and certainly not the least, the infamous and utterly godlike rune word, Jah-Ith-Ber - or Enigma.
